With auction cars I mean cars bought at a public auction. There are several kinds of auctions: private auctions, government auctions, police auctions, bank repossessed car auctions etc. Government auctions are considered as one of the best places of buying cheap decent new and used cars.
We are talking about great deals on quality cars that were seized in a government raid or for whatever reason came into the possession of the federal government.

Government Seized Car Auctions

Government auctions are not the same as the bank auctions of repossessed properties and cars. The government auctions are for seized vehicles that they are trying to get rid of in order to avoid them taking up space in a government parking facility.

If they can make a few dollars from their seized vehicles that's an advantage for them. Thus they will take any bid they can get. The bank will not. Because of this, government auctions would be a better option for buying cheap cars than a repossessed car auction of a bank.

Online Auto Auctions

Car auctions are held in several cities in all states where car buyers can go and bid on the vehicles. An auction site, however, is not available in any city. But if you have internet access you can still make bids on a government auction. You are even able to mail your sealed bid for a car to the auction.

Government Vehicle Surplus Auctions

There are also other ways to find high quality auction cars, for example at a government surplus auction. Cars sold in such auctions are vehicles owned by the government and used for such a long time that they are ready for renewal. They want to get rid of their old vehicles and replaced by new, therefore they are auctioned. Also at surplus auctions you can get a great bargain if you're looking for a cheap car.

Military Surplus Auctions

Another variation of government surplus auctions is the military vehicle auctions. Not all military vehicles are auctioned though. They don't offer combat vehicles, but you can buy jeeps and other low end vehicles for a few dollars.

The Right Place for Super Bargains

It should be obvious that the reason people get so many good deals at government auctions is that the government's intention is not to act like a business and maximize their profit but rather get a few dollars for a vehicle that is no longer up to their standards and cannot be used anymore.

So, why not take advantage of this, visit an auto auction house or go online and find cheap but decent auction cars at a government auction.
